The mission of the Society of Women Engineers is:
- To stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders
- To expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life
- To demonstrate the value of diversity
- To inform women and the public of qualifications, achievements, and opportunities open to them
- To assist women engineers in preparing to return to work after temporary retirement
- To encourage women to attain high levels of education and professional achievement.
